Agreeing to these terms
These terms are the agreement between you and Paseon (“we”, “us”) for paseon.com and the Paseon app. By joining the waitlist, browsing the site, or using the app, you accept them — together with the Privacy Policy, which explains how your data is treated.
If you do not agree, the only thing we ask is that you do not use Paseon.
Who can use Paseon
To use Paseon you must:
- Be 18 or older — verified at sign-up, before you can ever go live.
- Be legally able to enter into this agreement.
- Not have been previously removed from Paseon for breaking these rules.
Your account
One person, one account, your real self. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your credentials to yourself. If you believe someone else has accessed it, tell us immediately at hello@paseon.com.
What Paseon is
Paseon introduces people who are actually present: you go live, the matchmaker sends one person your way, and you both say yes — or nobody ever knows.
That is the product, and also its limits. We do not promise matches, chemistry, or outcomes — an introduction is a beginning, not a guarantee. Cities open gradually (Austin first), and features may change as Paseon grows.
Community rules
One rule above all the others: nobody here is a card to flick past. Concretely, you agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or demean anyone — in the app or when you meet.
- Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your age or identity.
- Use Paseon commercially — no advertising, solicitation, or selling.
- Scrape, automate, probe, or reverse-engineer the service.
- Circumvent verification, age gating, or any safety system.
Breaking these can end your account — see Ending things.
Your content
Your diary and your photos are yours. By putting them on Paseon you grant us a limited, revocable license to host, process, and display them — only as needed to run the service, such as letting the matchmaker read your diary as described in the Privacy Policy.
Delete your content or your account and that license ends, subject to the retention windows in the Privacy Policy.
Safety and meeting in person
Paseon is built to make introductions safer — verified faces, coarse location, one person at a time — but meeting another human is always your decision and your responsibility. We do not run criminal background checks on members.
Meet in public. Tell someone where you are going. Trust your instincts — and if anyone breaks the rules, report them in the app or write to hello@paseon.com.
Subscriptions and billing
Parts of Paseon are paid — a premium tier unlocks more of the matchmaker. Purchases are billed through your app store, and renewal, cancellation, and refunds follow that store’s rules; cancel before a renewal date to avoid the next charge. The price is always shown before you pay.
Safety is never behind a paywall.
The matchmaker is an AI
The matchmaker — Paseon itself — is an AI. It reads what you choose to share and makes a judgment call; its introductions are suggestions, and it can be wrong. It never poses as a human member, and it decides nothing about you outside the app.
Every real decision stays with you — whether to say yes, whether to meet, whether to continue.
Ending things
You can stop any time: one email removes you from the waitlist, and the app lets you delete your account entirely.
We can suspend or end accounts that break these terms — permanently for the serious cases: safety violations, verification fraud, harassment. Where it is reasonable and lawful, we will tell you why.
Disclaimers, liability, and governing law
Paseon is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent the law allows. To that same extent, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid Paseon in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Disputes belong to the state or federal courts of Travis County, Texas — unless the law where you live gives you a right to something else.
Changes and contact
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will announce it on this page — and, once the app is live, in the app — before the change takes effect. Using Paseon after that means the new terms apply.
